The Energy Museum

The Energy Museum is where the whole family can experience the fascinating world of energy.
Here you can dive into the history of energy, from the pitch-black past to the green future. Explore our exciting exhibitions and satisfy your curiosity with our many interactive activities. From Easter to the autumn holidays, you can experience our popular light shows and "high hair shows" and learn more about energy and its history. There is something for everyone as we connect the past with the present and the future.

Green transition
The Energy Museum mediate the history of energy and the green transition, with a particular focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 7: "Affordable and clean energy" and no. 12: "Responsible consumption and production". Visit the Energy Workshop in the main building, where the whole family can test their energy consumption through exciting games and experiments. Finally, visit our Power-to-X exhibition to learn more about the new technology that develops green fuels from renewable energy sources.

Beautiful surroundings
You will find the museum's exhibitions in 7 different buildings in the park and forest that connect them, in a beautiful location right next to Tange Lake, Denmark's largest hydroelectric power plant, Tangeværket. Here you can see the rushing water masses that power the old turbines and experience thunderous sound in the generator room, which has provided green electricity to Danes for over 100 years.
Welcome to a day full of experiences, knowledge and excitement for the whole family.
